This is a slim paperback collection of poems written by a woman who has suffered from fibromyalgia for almost a decade. She is able to get into words the essence of her fears, strengths, and weaknesses. Chronic pain patients may be able to see some of themselves in her poemspersonal growth and insight may result! This book could be a useful addition to your library for pain patients.
John Loeser is professor of neurological surgery and anesthesiology and director of the Multidisciplinary Pain Center at the University of Washington, Seattle.
