Abstracts

The 31st Annual Scientific Meeting will feature two author-attended poster sessions. Chosen from a large number of submissions, the more than 400 selected posters will present the best innovations and research in the study and treatment of pain. Poster abstracts selected for presentation at the annual meeting will be available online in a searchable database in late March to allow registrants to plan their poster viewing in advance of the meeting.

There will be two author-attended poster sessions at the annual meeting.  Posters ending in an odd number will be on display on Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17.  Posters ending in an even number will be on display on Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18.  Authors are only required to be present during their assigned display time. Posters will be set-up and displayed in the exhibit hall.

If your poster board number ends in an odd number:

• Set up your poster on Wednesday, May 16 between 2-4:15 PM.
• Please be at your poster on Thursday, May 17 from 8:15-9:45 AM (you only need to be present during this author-attended session).
• Your poster must be removed by 10 AM on Thursday.  APS cannot be held responsible for any posters remaining on boards after this time.

If your poster board number ends in an even number:

• Set up your poster on Thursday, May 17 between 11:30 AM and 1 PM.
• Please be at your poster on Friday, May 18 from 8:45-10:15 AM  (you only need to be present during this author-attended session).
• Your poster must be removed at 10:15 AM on Friday.  APS cannot be held responsible for any posters remaining on boards after this time.

Please plan to be available during most of your assigned author-attended session so that you can discuss your work and answer questions from attendees. The author-attended sessions are relatively informal, with attendees visiting several posters during the allotted time period. You are not expected to prepare a formal presentation, but should be ready to discuss your work with attendees who stop to view your poster.
