Pain and Genetics Special Interest Group

The focus of the Genetics and Pain SIG is to foster collaborative information and idea sharing on genetics and pain-related research and to enable the development of integrated research projects on this topic. The activities will include updating the APS membership on the latest developments relating to the genetics of pain through pre-conference workshops, symposia, and newsletters; enhancing research capabilities and capacity of established and new pain investigators by developing collaborative mentorship and training initiatives; and developing outreach programs to enhance the understanding of patient and public advocacy groups, policymakers, industry, and educators.
